
WITS CAMP At UH DOWNTOWN
WITS Camps at UH Downtown offer students ages 7 to 15 the opportunity to learn creative writing from professional writers this summer! Camps are one week long and are offered June 1st through July 24th at five locations across the Houston area.
About WITS Camp at UH Downtown:

Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break

Extended childcare is available from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Each camp features an exciting topic, engaging activities designed to foster student creativity, the opportunity for students to bring their ideas to life in completed projects, and leadership from professional writers.

Ages 7-8
This workshop explores original voice, inventive word choice, sentence fluency, and clear organization. Students discover where their writing can go next.
Inspirational Writing
Ages 9-12
Young writers deepen their writing practice in this workshop by focusing on the art of storytelling as they discover what inspires and drives them.
Taking Your Writing to the Next Level
Ages 9-12

Writing the Self
Ages 13-15
Embark on a journey of self-discovery in a workshop that unlocks the magic of written expression, helping participants explore emotions and self-awareness.
